                “Jesus is at the heart of every Christmas.”

Time flies fast when you’re busy and having so much fun.

Oohhh my!!!

December is going to be the busiest time of the year for our school.  It is also short, so we try to make the most out of it. We also just finished the first term, would you believe that. Three months had quickly past.

In Language Arts, we are continuously learning about writing our sentences. We make sure that we follow the rules of capitalization. We do our journal writing on a daily basis to help strengthen their skills in writing.

In Math, we continue learning about Place Values and Expanded forms. We do a lot of addition, subtraction and a mixed of both to developed more our mental math skills.

In Social Studies, we are going to learn about the Christmas traditions and culture all around the world.

In Science, we are doing the Food groups. We love playing the Food Group bingo.

In French, we continue learning about numbers in French and we also learn colors in French.

In Religion, we are going to learn about the real reason for this season – Jesus. We are learning about Advent. We love to learn more about our faith.   

This is also the month of giving and examining ourselves and asking the question, “Are we prepared for the Coming of Jesus?”

·      December 16^th – NUT day, wear pink Advent assembly

·      December 5^th – 6^th – White Elephant Sale

·      December 9^th- Operation Radio Santa

·      December 10th – NUT day, wear red/green School Mass Day, Early Dismissal

·      December 12^th – Report cards go home

·      December 13^th – MTYP field Trip for Grades 2 & 3

·      December 17^th – Christmas Concert; NUT day Concert Attire/ Costume Matinee Performance 1:00pm Wine Raffle Draw at the Christmas Concert

·      December 18^th – NUT day, wear green or red

·      December 19^th – NUT day, wear your TEAM colours and Christmas socks

·      December 20^th – last day of school, NUT day, wear purple, 11am Christmas caroling, Early dismissal 2:25pm

·      December 23^rd – January 5^th – Christmas Break

·      January 6^th – classes resume

 

The cold days are here so please check the weather everyday. And wear proper outdoor clothes.
